How to talk about these two … Erin is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Navy.  She just got back from Haiti and was previously stationed on a ship off the coast of Iraq.  Dave is an Army Major.  He just left for a tour of duty in Iraq.  Both are linguists and met at the Monterey Language Institute.

These two are amazing, salt of the earth, kind people who delight in each other and know what is important in life.  What a privilege to meet them, and an honor to photograph their wedding.

Kelly and Najib were referred to me by a couple I adore, Chris and Kristina.  (Who, by the way, have a new baby.)  By coincidence, these East Coasters and friends both happened to be attracted to Napa Valley for their weddings.   With weddings two years apart, they both chose Auberge du Soleil.

Not surprising, Kelly and Najib are also sweeties.  Their friends and family came to Napa from all over the world to celebrate this wonderful event.  Loved the soccer women.  The men had great senses of humor.

Kelly gave pashminas to all the women in attendance.  I’ve posted those photos in a separate entry to show what a bit of twirling encouragement can produce.

Hans Fahden was in total bloom for this lovely Sunday late morning wedding.  Every nook and cranny was bursting with color.   The weather cooperated too, with warmth and sun.  Sunday daytime weddings are such a great idea.

Louise and Bob are delightful.  Louise has a large family with an amazing set of nieces and nephews;  Bob’s daughter is lovely.  I enjoyed my end-of-the-day hug by young Frankie!

This was a perfect wedding at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn.  The bride was meticulous in her choices, then relaxed on her wedding day.

The Fairmont has so many beautiful areas to photograph – everywhere you look there are arches, ivy covered buildings, beautiful walkways and lovely sculpture.  It was a sunny California day.  The ceremony area was bathed in shade.

I loved photographing this wedding – classy and elegant and joyous and fun.  The bride is gorgeous; the groom a sweetheart with three great kids.
